POWER YOUR JOURNEY

The high performance, 999cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four cylinder engine that powers the GSX-S1000GT+ has been engineered to perform optimally in all types of riding conditions, whether touring over long distances or out for a sporty run, all while meeting Euro 5 emissions standards.

Power and Satisfaction

The engine delivers superbike-level performance while minimising vibration for a smoother, less tiring ride on long journeys. Its strong, consistent power across the rev range enhances both everyday riding and high‑speed motorway or sporty solo riding.

Advanced electronic controls let the rider fine‑tune power delivery to suit different conditions or riding styles, from smooth torque for daily use to exciting, responsive acceleration for spirited sports riding.

Powerful Resonance

The 4‑2‑1 exhaust is tuned for a deep, resonant sound while still keeping the tone gentle enough for comfortable long‑distance touring. Its clean, sharp design suits a premium sports tourer. To maintain strong overall performance and meet Euro 5 standards, it uses a revised chamber structure with a second catalytic converter. The collector is slightly longer, and the Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) system is repositioned to improve performance and emissions.

Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS)

The slipper clutch reduces engine‑braking effects when downshifting, helping prevent rear‑wheel hop and allowing smoother, more controlled deceleration when entering corners.

The SCAS system also adds an assist function that uses precision‑engineered ramps to press the clutch components together for efficient torque transfer under acceleration, while using lighter springs. This results in a significantly lighter clutch lever feel, reducing rider fatigue during frequent clutch use.

Cruise Control System

Cruise control is a convenient system that allows the rider to maintain a set speed without operating the throttle. This helps reduce fatigue when touring long distances, particularly when travelling at constant speed on motorways.

Bi-Directional Quickshift System

The bi‑directional quickshifter lets the rider shift up or down without using the clutch, reducing fatigue and enhancing overall ride quality. When accelerating, it briefly interrupts power just enough to unload the transmission, delivering smoother, near‑continuous acceleration during upshifts.

During deceleration, the system automatically opens the throttle slightly to raise rpm and match engine speed to the lower gear. This hands‑free auto‑blipping works seamlessly with engine braking to create a smooth, satisfying downshift experience.

Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS)

The GT’s STCS offers five traction‑control modes plus Off, letting riders tailor grip to load, weather, and road conditions. This boosts confidence and reduces fatigue.

SDMS provides three throttle‑mapped power modes, each tuned to maximise the GT’s sports‑touring performance and adapt to changing conditions and riding styles.

Colour TFT Display

The GT features a new 6.5‑inch full‑colour TFT display with a scratch‑resistant, anti‑reflective screen and smartphone connectivity. It provides all key information at a glance, including speed, rpm, fuel data, range, cruise control, SDMS mode, traction control, quickshifter status, gear position, temperature readings, clock, intercom status, phone battery/connection, and more.

Smartphone Connectivity

The 6.5‑inch TFT display supports the Suzuki mySPIN app, using hardware and software built specifically for motorcycles rather than adapted car systems. This ensures smooth, intuitive smartphone integration. The result is a smart cockpit that combines key bike data—like speed and rpm—with relevant information, communication, and entertainment from the rider’s phone.

Suzuki MySpin

By installing the free mySPIN app, riders can access five motorcycle‑specific apps mirrored directly on the TFT display. Using the left‑handlebar controls, they can easily navigate familiar functions while riding, including contacts, phone, maps, music and calendar.

CHASSIS & COMPONENTS

CHASSIS & COMPONENTS

PREMIUM STOPPING POWER

The GT+ uses radial‑mount Brembo calipers with 32mm pistons and 310mm discs for strong braking performance. Its Dunlop SPORTMAX Roadsport 2 tyres feature an improved structure and compound for better wet grip, quicker warm‑up and longer wear.

HARD LUGGAGE AS STANDARD.

The GT+ comes with 36‑litre side cases as standard, each able to hold a full‑face helmet and designed for easy quick‑release mounting. Combined with a 19‑litre fuel tank and 46.3 MPG efficiency, the GT+ delivers an excellent touring range.

SPORT TOURING ERGONOMICS

The GT+ offers an upright riding position for all‑day comfort, with rubber‑mounted handlebars and footrests to reduce vibration. The ergonomic handlebar setup improves control, while new rider and pillion seats provide grip and support. The rider’s seat allows easy movement for sporty riding, and the redesigned pillion seat and grab bars maximise passenger comfort.

ADJUSTABLE KYB SUSPENSION

The GT+ uses 43mm KYB inverted forks with fully adjustable damping, compression, rebound and preload, plus a link‑type rear suspension with similar adjustability. This setup delivers neutral, stable handling at all speeds and maintains strong performance even under high‑speed loads.
